What's New
Editing a Driver Submission: Notification for Drivers
When an operator amends any incorrect information in a driver's details or licence submissions, drivers are alerted to this change to review the changes.
Bid For Prebooking: UI Update
To standardise our features and make bidding for prebookings more efficient, we are introducing some improvements to the user interface.
These changes include:
- If the user swipes to Bid or Remove, the screen tilts until the swipe is complete, returning the user back to the list and removing the job from the list.
- When a user closes a job using the Close (X) button in the top-left corner of the screen, they will return to the bidding list, and the booking will remain available for the driver to review again later.
- The job ETA now only considers the estimated distance and time from the start to the end of the job and no longer includes the current location.
Active Booking Offers: Actionable Notifications
When Driver Companion is active in the background, the user can receive actionable notifications, allowing you to select 'Bid' or 'Remove' without opening the app.
Bid While Busy: Sound Alert
When a job is available while busy, a notification sound will play both within and outside the app to inform the driver that they can bid on it.
Job Offers: Actionable Notifications
For users who do not permit to prioritise the Driver Companion application in the foreground, the user can still receive actionable notifications, allowing you to select 'Accept' or 'Reject' on a job offer without opening the app.
Improvements
Submitting Vehicle Docs Off-Shift
While off-shift, drivers can now submit any vehicle-related documents.
Previously, the user could only upload drivers' documents while off-shift, posing an issue for those required to submit vehicle documents.
Switch Default Login Screen
To enhance user experience, we're reverting back to the original default login screen of entering the username and password. The option to continue using the activation code screen is available if preferred.
Privacy Notice Acceptance
We have updated our privacy notice acceptance frequency. Moving forward, you only need to accept the notice when there is an update.
Setting for Default Job Offer View
We have added a setting that enables drivers to select their preferred display of the job offer screen, choosing between the map view or the detailed list view. To modify this setting:
- Navigate to the Left Hand Menu > Settings > Job Offer View.
- Choose your option of Show Map or Show List.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed: Issue where not approving a change of details to a driver/vehicle causes the red cross to appear on the licence tab instead.
- Fixed: Issue with the inadequate selection of ranges for the price breakdown filter in Job History.
- Fixed: Issue where the Job History screen is not displaying the correct location of the pick-up on the map.
- Fixed: Issue where the Earnings report shows double amounts for jobs after midnight on the first day of the month, affecting the totals on the weekly screen.
- Fixed: Issue where enabling Developer Mode allows the use of fake GPS apps to mock a location position.
