What's New
Stripe
We are excited to announce that Stripe is now available as a payment provider in our Passenger App!
One of the benefits of using Stripe is that you can implement deferred payments, which means that you can increase an authorised charge if the fare changes before final capture. This makes it easier for drivers and passengers to handle any changes in fare with minimal transaction fees and provides a buffer in case of traffic delays or other reasons why a fare needs to increase.
In addition, your customers can now use Google Pay with Stripe integration, simplifying the payment process for your passengers.
To configure Stripe for your system, you must create an account with Stripe and then contact Autocab Platform Delivery (platform.delivery@autocab.com) to update your apps and enable Stripe payments.
Enabling Stripe for your passenger app will also automatically enable this for E-Booker.
When switching your payment provider, your customers will need to enter their card details again. To notify your customers of this change, you might want to send them a push notification.
Note: Stripe is only available on version 34.6 and above.
User Registration: Add Payment Method
We have updated the sign-up process in which the user is prompted to add a card. With this new update, users can easily add Google Pay as their payment method, providing a more convenient and seamless sign-up experience.
Left-Hand Menu Links
In AppSettings, you can now add up to five external links to the left-hand menu of your passenger app. This feature provides customers with easy access to applicable links such as contact forms, feedback, and surveys.
To configure:
- In AppSettings, go to Passenger App 5G > Company Info.
- Locate the External Links option and select 'Edit External Links'.
- Use the Add button in the top-right corner to add new links, or use the Edit and Delete buttons to modify existing ones.
- Select OK to apply your changes.
Updated Translations
In this newest release, we have updated the translations available throughout the app to ensure all text has the correct translations available.
Improvements
No Drivers Available: Push Notification
When a booking is cancelled due to no driver availability, the push notification an app user receives when their booking is cancelled now states the cancellation reason of no driver availability, providing better clarity to passengers of why their booking is cancelled.
Follow on Bookings: Improved UI
For better clarity for passengers, we have added a new text box to the map screen when a driver is completing a follow on booking which states that the driver is "Completing a journey nearby".
Twitter/X Logo Update
As a result of Twitter changing its name and logo to 'X', we have updated the icon in the About Us section to reflect this.
Increased Vehicle Specifications
In AppSettings, you can now add up to 10 vehicle specifications, allowing for a wider variety of vehicle types to be provided to passengers.
To add more vehicle specifications:
- Go to AppSettings > Passenger App 5G > Vehicle Specifications.
- Scroll down until you see the Add Specification button.
- You can then add up to 10 vehicle specifications.
- Once finished, ensure to select Publish to apply your changes.
Captcha Mode Setting
We have moved the Captcha field from the Passenger App tab to the EBooking tab in AppSettings as Captcha is now enforced for all of our passenger apps for security reasons. You can control whether this should be enabled on Ebooker.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed: Issue when entering a destination, upon adding a pickup that is a postcode and selecting search, the destination text is cleared.
- Fixed: Issue where logging out from an account and logging back in via the 'Welcome Back!' screen can result in the app crashing. After completing the hCaptcha and pressing the back button, the app logs the user into an account that does not exist, causing the app to crash.

- GPS / Location Services enabled
