Release Date: June 2024
Here you will find the latest features, improvements, and bug fixes for E-Booker.
To ensure you have the best experience using our product, we recommend updating to the latest version available.
Note: The features available to you will depend on the configuration and the current version of E-Booker you're using.
Improvements
Passenger Details on Confirmation Modal
The Booking Confirmation Modal now displays passenger details like name, phone number, and email address. These details also appear on the modal after making changes to a booking. The information displayed on the modal depends on the type of booking made, such as 'For Other', 'For Me', or 'For Staff', and varies based on which details are entered. For instance, no details are shown on the modal if the booking is made 'For Me'.
Mobile UI Improvements
We have made a number of changes to improve your experience when booking via a mobile device, these include:
Viewing and Deleting Templates
For mobile users, you can now view and delete existing templates under the Quick Book tab. Tap on a template to select, here you can view the template details and then you can choose to apply it to your current booking or delete it
Adding a Driver Note
When adding a note for the driver, we have made the check icon more visible, making it easier to tap once you finish inputting text into the note field.
New Menu Bar
There is a new menu bar at the bottom of the screen on the Profile page, providing more horizontal space for displaying the content of each profile page.
Logo Removal
We have removed the logo from the top left corner to maximise screen real estate, enabling the display of more content without cluttering the interface.
Scroll Bar Removal
We have also removed the redundant horizontal scroll bar.
Favourite Addresses
When creating or editing a favourite address in the Profile section, the modal now shows a map next to the Name and Address fields. This helps clearly show the location you are adding to your favourites.
Anonymous Passenger Bookings
When creating a booking for an anonymous passenger, which is a user not logged in, a popup requesting details no longer appears when clicking book. Now the user is shown the regular 'For Other' input fields on the booking form in which the name, phone number and email address can be entered before selecting Book.
Loading Booking Offers
When the user enters a value in the Booking Password input field, this now automatically triggers the search to find and load potential booking orders. This resolves the issue where previously the user would have to click outside the booking field after entering a value to load the offers.
UI Improvement for Non-Editable Fields
Non-editable fields are now greyed out to reduce confusion while editing a pre-booking and display informative text when hovered over.
Booking Over Vehicle Capacity
When a user tries to book a vehicle with less space than the number of passengers and/or luggage they have entered, a popup message appears. This allows the user to book multiple vehicles to accommodate their needs or continue booking with the exceeded vehicle option with a warning that this is at their own risk.
In AppSettings, you can disable this setting to prevent the ability to book an exceeded vehicle. This results in displaying an error message instead.
To modify this setting:
- In AppSettings, go to EBooking > Booking.
- Toggle off the Allow booking over vehicle capacity setting under 'Maximum Number of Passengers and Luggages' to prevent users from booking vehicles when exceeding capacity. Leave this setting enabled to allow your users to book exceeded vehicles.
