Release Date: July 2024
Here you will find the latest features, improvements, and bug fixes for E-Booker.
To ensure you have the best experience using our product, we recommend updating to the latest version available.
Note: The features available to you will depend on the configuration and the current version of E-Booker you're using.
What's New
'Future Only' Booking Templates
You can configure booking templates on CAP to enforce bookings for future times only, which E-Booker supports the use of. This ensures bookings are made well in advance, reducing last-minute request and potential scheduling conflicts whilst streamlining the booking process for customers who plan journeys ahead.
Booking Confirmation: Cancel and Edit Jobs
Customers can now save time by being able to cancel and edit jobs directly from the booking confirmation and booking amended modals in E-Booker, giving your customers improved control for managing their travel arrangements effectively.
Filter Flights by Pickup Time
Flights are now automatically filtered to display only those arriving no earlier than one hour before the selected pickup time, regardless of the pickup date.
Improvements
Notifications for Bookings
To improve the E-Booker tracking flow, users are prompted to enable notifications via their browser the first time they access E-Booker. Users then receive real-time updates such as car dispatched, car outside and cancelled job alerts.
These notifications appear when a user is logged into E-Booker and has booked a job, allowing the user to freely switch between tabs and windows knowing they will receive any updates about their bookings.
Users can enable or disable the notifications at any time through their browser settings.
To enable notifications on Google Chrome:
- On your E-Booking page, select the Menu option in the address bar.
- In the dropdown menu, toggle on Notifications.
- Notifications are now enabled on your Google Chrome browser. You can follow these steps to disable notifications by toggling off the Notifications setting.
To enable notifications on Microsoft Edge:
- On your E-Booking page, select the Lock icon in the address bar.
- In the menu, open the dropdown menu next to Notifications and select Allow.
- Notifications are now enabled on your Microsoft Edge browser. You can follow these steps to disable notifications by selecting the Block option in the dropdown menu.
Activities & New Booking: New Tab
Users can right-click on the 'Activities' and 'New Booking' links in the top navigation bar to open them in a new tab or window, allowing users to maintain their current session while simultaneously starting new tasks in separate tabs. This also includes keyboard shortcut functionality, CTRL + Click (or cmd + Click on Mac).
Bug Fixes
- Fixed: Issue where attempting to rebook a booking that was placed using a travel program that no longer exists, an error occurs and the booking fails. Now when attempting this, a message displays that states the following "Please be aware the travel program has been updated! Check your details before booking".
- Fixed: Issue when the payment gateway is configured to PayU, when adding a credit card, the window appears small and the input fields are too narrow for proper usage.
