What is Instapay?
Instapay allows you to instantly access the money you've earned through your Driver Companion by transferring it directly to your nominated bank account, eliminating the need to wait for weekly payments!
You do not require a Revolut bank account to use Instapay, however, non-Revolut accounts incur an additional fee of 20p per transaction upon withdrawing funds.
All withdrawals are subject to a 50p-£1.00 transaction fee.
How Does it Work?
If your operator has it configured so you can use Instapay, you can set up the feature using your bank details. Following this, you can then withdraw your earnings and instantly receive them in your nominated bank account!
Important: You must be on Android Driver Companion version 3.2 or above to use Instapay.
Step-by-Step Instructions
In your Driver Companion app, you may come across a pop-up that allows you to configure Instapay. You can press the 'Configure it now' button to continue with this.
If you selected 'Maybe later' or the pop-up has not appeared, you can also configure Instapay in the Driver Sheets section of Driver Companion.
Setting up Instapay
To set up Instapay on your device:
- Under Driver Sheets, press the Configure Instapay button.
- You will then be prompted to link your bank account with two options:
Continue with Revolut
or Continue without Revolut.
If you have a Revolut bank account, there is no withdrawal fee, only the transaction fee.
If using a non-Revolut bank account, then every transaction is subject to a 20p withdrawal fee on top of the transaction fee.
Proceed by tapping on the option that applies to you. - You must then enter your bank details as required:
These details include:
- First name
- Last name
- Account number
- Sort code
- Once these fields are filled in, press the Check (
) button to continue.
- Next, you must read the Additional Information screen and agree to the provided Terms & Conditions before Instapay can be set up on your device.
If you agree to the information, click the Checkbox next to 'Opt into Instapay' and then press the Continue button.
If you do not agree, you cannot continue and Instapay cannot be set up on your device. - Instapay is then enabled on your device! From here you can begin instantly withdrawing from your balance.
Using Instapay
Once you have set up Instapay on your Driver Companion device, you can begin using it to withdraw money from your balance.
To make a withdrawal via Instapay:
- Navigate to the Driver Sheets section.
- Press the Withdraw with Instapay button at the bottom of your screen.
- Input the amount you would like to withdraw into the provided textbox.
There may be a withdrawal fee depending on the day of the week you are attempting to make a withdrawal. If a fee applies, the textbox above the Withdraw button indicates the fee amount.
If your operator has designated a fee-free day, the message is slightly different as it does not mention a withdrawal fee, only the standard transaction fee that is always deducted.
Note: There may be a minimum balance that you must maintain in your account, which can limit the amount you are able to withdraw. If you attempt to withdraw more than your available balance permits, the amount in the withdrawal input field automatically adjusts to reflect your available balance. For example, if you have £150.00 available to withdraw and enter £260.00, the input field changes this to £150.00. - Press the Withdraw [AMOUNT] button to continue.
- If your withdrawal has been successful, you will see the 'Withdrawal Completed' screen and your money should be within your nominated bank account in a few minutes.
- There may be a daily limit on the maximum amount you can withdraw. If this is the case, the 'Available to withdraw' balance will show the amount you can actually withdraw, rather than your total current balance.
For example, if the limit is set at £100 per day and you withdraw the full amount, your available balance will then show £0.00 when you return to the Instapay section.
To check your actual current balance, please refer to the Driver Sheets section of your Driver Companion.
