What's New

Editing Addresses

We are extending the functionality that allows passengers to enter their desired booking location and manually rename it, if needed. This feature is already available in the Passenger App.

If enabled in AppSettings, users will see a pencil icon in the address input field, indicating that the text is editable. This allows users to correct any inaccuracies in the addresses retrieved from the database. For instance, an incorrect street name can easily be corrected.

To configure this setting:

  1. In AppSettings, go to Ebooking > Booking.
  2. Locate the Allow Address Edit setting.

  3. Click to toggle on to enable your users to rename addresses.
    Note: If you have this setting already configured for your Passenger App via AppSettings, this feature is automatically toggled on for E-Booker.
  4. Press the Save button in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
  5. Press Yes to continue.

Your users can now edit addresses on your E-Booking system.

Note: We are aware of the use case where some users may enter a different address name, causing the driver to go to the incorrectly renamed address without checking the map, leading to a small number of passengers getting cheaper journeys. However, the map always shows the correct address. To prevent this situation, we recommend reminding your drivers to follow the route indicated by the map.

Enforce Future or ASAP Only Bookings

You can control which booking options are available to passengers, allowing you to allocate drivers based on scheduling needs, either for immediate (ASAP) rides, scheduled future bookings or both, allowing you to manage fleet availability more strategically.

To configure this setting:

  1. In AppSettings, go to Ebooking > Booking.
  2. Locate the Booking Mode setting.
  3. Use the multi-selection box to configure your options:
    • ASAP: If using ASAP only, the option to 'Book for Now' is only shown on E-Booker and the option for future bookings is removed.
    • Pre-Book: If only Pre-Book is selected, the option to book for 'Future' is the only option and the option for immediate (now) bookings is removed.

      By default, both options are selected to match current behaviour (shows both 'now' and 'future' booking options).
  4. Press the Save button in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
  5. Press Yes to continue.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed: Issue where the modal does not close upon deleting a Favourite Address.
  • Fixed: Issue where the Account name is not translating correctly on the Booking Form.

To ensure E-Booker operates and performs as designed, please make sure that your device meets the requirements listed below:

  • Operating System: Windows 10+
  • Processor: AMD 3600 or better / Intel i5 10th gen or better
  • Storage: Solid State Drive (SSD) or Non-volatile Memory Express
  • RAM: 8GB RAM (16GB recommended)
  • Requires Internet Connection
  • Google Chrome Web Browser (Recommended)
