What's New
Tipping
We are excited to introduce Tipping in the Passenger App! Passengers can now show their appreciation for the excellent service by their drivers at the end of their journey.
Our new digital alternative to cash tipping offers a convenient way for passengers to express gratitude. It also provides drivers with an additional revenue stream through digital tips, which can lead to higher earnings per journey and potentially increase your driver's satisfaction and retention.

Adding to Favourites on a Journey
When a passenger books a ride to, from, or via a particular address three or more times, a prompt will now appear asking if they'd like to save that location as a favourite once they are on board the taxi. Passengers can either dismiss the suggestion or interact with the notification to proceed with adding the location to their favourites. This feature enhances efficiency by making future bookings quicker and more convenient for passengers.
Custom Airport Pickup Time
To provide greater flexibility, you can now customise the buffer time that applies when a user books an airport journey with flight details. Busier airports may require more than 30 minutes to exit after landing, which includes customs and baggage collection. Whereas, smaller regional airports may not need as much time. This allows you to configure the buffer based on the needs of your passengers.
To configure this setting:
- In AppSettings, go to Passenger App 5G > Booking.
- Locate the "Flight Arrival Buffer" setting.
- Input a time (in minutes) that is the minimum arrival buffer applied when a user books an airport journey with flight details. This is set to 30 minutes by default.
Note: Your users can still remove the flight details and set their own time manually. - Ensure to click Publish to save and apply your changes.
Advanced Booking Days Based on Payment Methods
You can now set different pre-booking limits based on payment methods, providing greater flexibility for your passengers by removing the previous seven-day restrictions.
How to configure:
- In Appsettings, go to Passenger App 5G > Booking Tab.
- Scroll down until you see the "Pre-Booking Limits" setting.
- If disabled, click the toggle on enable.
- New settings will appear, including "Advanced Pre-Booking Limits". Toggle on this setting.
- Another three new settings will then appear, "Cash Pre-Booking Limit", "Card Pre-Booking Limit" and "Account Pre-Booking Limit".
- Configure the following settings:
- Maximum days ahead: Set the maximum amount of days in advance when pre-bookings are allowed. Note that payment pre-authorisations can expire leading to card payments failing on advanced bookings and this expiry time can vary between payment providers.
- Minimum Pre-Booking time: Set a minimum advance time for pre-bookings in minutes, which limits how soon future rides can be scheduled.
- Cash Pre-Booking Limit: Input the maximum number of days in advance a customer can pre-book for cash bookings.
- Card Pre-Booking Limit: Input the maximum number of days in advance a customer can pre-book for card bookings.
- Account Pre-Booking Limit: Input the maximum number of days in advance a customer can pre-book for account bookings.
- Ensure to click Publish to save and apply your changes.
Improvements
Hide Booking Quotes
Users can now choose which quotes to display to passengers during booking. Previously, the message displayed was "Quote not available", which confused passengers.
Based your configuration of the 'Show Booking Quotes' setting in AppSettings > Passenger App 5G > Booking, we now show the following text:
- Cash - Pay in Taxi
- CreditCard - Pay with Card
- Paypal Account - Paying with PayPal
- PersonalAccount - Paying with Account
- PurseAccount - Paying with Account
- CAPAccount - Paying with Account
- ApplePay - Pay with Apple Pay
- GooglePay - Pay with Google Pay
Reduced Favourites Radius to 10m
We have reduced the radius for adding favourite addresses to allow users to set new favourites within a 10-meter radius without receiving an error message. Previously, users encountered an error when attempting to add a favourite within a 100-meter radius.
Bug Fixes
Bug Fixes Affecting iOS Only
- Fixed: Issue where the second tile that displays a recent location or a favourite address on the home screen is cut off.
- Fixed: Issue where an error message appears when attempting to re-booking a journey with SagePay PayAtEnd3DS enabled.
- Fixed: Issue where the 'Driver Offered' card is not showing when "Show Driver Offered Card" is enabled in AppSettings.
- Fixed: Issue where the 'Home' favourite address button is not showing when adding a new favourite address from the tracking/map screen.
- Fixed: Issue where the journey price quote is not displaying after adding a via and a destination then pressing the tick button.

Bug Fixes Affecting Android Only
- Fixed: Issue where the passenger can still add vias to a booking when "Can add vias" is disabled in AppSettings.
- Fixed: Issue where the 'From' address field is blank when navigating back from the booking screen when it should populate with the user's current location.
- Fixed: Issue where the navigation bar obscures the 'Finish' button on the last step of the register flow.
- Fixed: Issue where the prompt to select a meeting point upon configuring an airport button is not appearing.
- Fixed: Issue where Türkiye is missing from country selection when entering a phone number during registration.
- Fixed: Issue where the 3D outline of buildings does not appear when zooming into the map.
- Fixed: Issue when applying a reward, the confirmation dialogue box states "Promo code applied!" when it should say "Reward applied!".
- Fixed: Issue where the 'Ready to Go' button on a special location airport pickup booking does not show the correct contrast in dark mode.
- Fixed: Issue where the light mode map appears for special locations when dark mode is enabled.
- Fixed: Issue where the incorrect welcome message shows when there is no booking history.
