Configuring Variable and Fixed Tariffs - 365 Management – Autocab Help

The Tariffs screen is where you can configure custom Variable and Fixed tariffs.

Variable Tariffs are pricing tariffs that are calculated based on the distance a driver travels, while Fixed Tariffs are pricing tariffs that are a fixed price from A to B.

To access this screen:

Click on Tariffs from the Pricing and Payments dropdown menu.

Add a tariff

To add a new tariff:

Click on the Add button on the right-hand side.
Follow the creation wizard and enter any required details within each tab.
Then click Create.

Note: It is important to take care when working through each step, as there are lots of settings that can be utilised to provide more accurate pricing on your system. The more time you spend learning how to configure your tariffs, the better your pricing will be.

Details

The Details tab will contain the basic details for the new tariff.

Tariff Name: The name of the tariff.
Short Name: A unique shortcode to identify the tariff.
Company: Which company the tariff applies to.
Description: A basic description of the tariff.
Applies to Booking Type: Select which booking type the tariff applies to.

Time & Location

The Time & Location tab allows you to restrict the tariff to only apply when set conditions are met.

Specific Route: The settings here are used for restricting your tariff to a specific route.
- Pickup: Select the pickup type, and then enter the required details.
- Destination: Select the destination type, and then enter the required details.
Specific Times: The settings here are used for restricting your tariff to a specific date and time schedule.
- Template:
  - Schedule Template: Select a pre-configured schedule template.
- Custom:
  - Add Schedule: Click to configure a new schedule for the tariff.
Specific Range:
- Passenger Range: Enable to restrict the tariff to a set number of passengers (E.g. 1-4).

Job Types

The Job Types tab allows you to restrict the tariff to only apply to certain job types.

Default: The default option means the tariff can be used by any booking type provided your configuration allows it.
Accounts: Enable to limit the tariff to certain accounts.
- Apply to Accounts: Select which accounts the tariff should apply to.
  - Tariff Mode: Select the tariff mode.
    - Use Selected Tariffs Only: The account will only be allowed to use the tariffs that are applied to them.
    - Use Both Default and Selected Tariffs: The account can use any tariff that is set to the Default option, as well as any that are applied to them.
Kickback Accounts: Enable to limit the tariff to certain kickback accounts.
- Apply to Accounts: Select which kickback accounts the tariff should apply to.
App Cash: Enable to limit the tariff to app bookings using cash.
App Credit Card: Enable to limit the tariff to app bookings using a credit card.
Phone Credit Card: Enable to limit the tariff to phone bookings where a credit card is provided.

Settings

The Settings tab allows you to configure any extra charges or discounts that will apply to your tariff.

Template:
- Ghost Pricing Meter Charging Method: Select which method the Ghost pricing meter should use for charges.
- Ghost Pricing Meter Manual Waiting Time: Select if the Ghost pricing meter manual waiting time option should be On or Off.
- Applies to Docket Source: Enabling any of the following toggles will make the tariff apply to the booking type.
  - Cancelled Booking: Enable to apply the tariff to cancelled bookings.
  - Completed Booking: Enable to apply the tariff to completed bookings.
  - No Fare Booking: Enable to apply the tariff to no fare bookings.
- Fare Settings Template: Select a template containing the fare settings.
Custom:
- Custom Fare Settings Template: Manually configure the fare settings.
  - Force Posting To Accounts: Enable to force bookings using this tariff to be posted into the accounts job processor.
  - Same Cost & Price: Enable to make the charges cost and price the same.
  - Fixed Estimated Price: Enable to force bookings using this tariff to have a fixed estimated price.
- Extra Charges:
  - Booking Fee: Select additional booking fees to be applied to bookings using this tariff.
  - Surge Pricing Type: Select which surge pricing type will be applied to bookings using this tariff.
  - Cash Account Fee: Select additional fees to be applied to cash account bookings using this tariff.
  - Driver Commission Fees: Select additional fees to be applied to drivers accepting bookings using this tariff.
  - Service Charge Fee: Select additional service fees to be applied to bookings using this tariff.
  - Per Via Charge (Cost): Set a fixed monetary cost to be applied for each via added to a booking using this tariff.
  - Per Via Charge (Price): Set a fixed monetary price to be applied for each via added to a booking using this tariff.
  - Round Money Up To Nearest: Set the nearest decimal value the system should round up the booking total to (E.g. 0.10 would make £10.06 round up to £10.10).
  - Round Distance Up To Nearest: Set the nearest mi or km decimal value the system should round up the booking distance to (E.g. 0.10 would make 11.05km round up to 11.10km).
  - Capability Charges:
    - Enable Capability Charges: Enable to add additional charges to specific job capabilities.
    - Template:
      - Capability Charge Template: Select a template containing the capability charges.
    - Custom:
      - Capability Charges: Click to manually configure the capability charges.
  - Wait and Return Discount:
    - If Distance More Than: If the distance is more than the given amount the booking discount will be applied.
    - Discount Amount: Set the amount or percentage for the booking discount.
  - Return Journey Discount:
    - If Distance More Than: If the distance is more than the given amount the booking discount will be applied.
    - Whole Journey: The amount or percentage will discount the final price of the whole journey.
      - Discount Amount: Set the amount or percentage for the booking discount.
    - Specific: The amount or percentage will discount the final price of the outbound or return journey.
      - Outbound Discount: Set the amount or percentage for the outbound journey discount.
      - Return Discount: Set the amount or percentage for the return journey discount.

Fare

Template:
- Variable Fare Template: Select a variable fare template.
Custom:
- Capability Tariff: Select a capability tariff to view different set rates for each capability.
- Add Capability: Select a capability you wish to copy the default rates too.
- System Tariff: Select which system tariff should be sent to a driver meter when using this tariff.
- Same Cost & Price: Enable to make the capability tariff cost and price the same.
Zone to Zone Template: Select a zone to zone template to apply this tariff to a specific route.
Address Group Template: Select an address group template to apply this tariff to specific addresses.
Add Capability: Select a capability you wish to copy the default rates too.
Default: The default rates table.
- Yellow: Minimum and maximum values for the tariff.
- Green: Fare stages of the tariff.
- Blue: Waiting time stages for the tariff.

Zone Charges / Charging Areas

Charging Zones Template: Select a charging zones template to apply this tariff to specific zones.
Pricing Zones Group: Select a pricing zone template to apply the zone charges to any booking matching this tariff.
Out Of Area Dead Mileage Compensation (Round Robin): Toggle to enable dead mileage compensation (Not visible if the "Ghost Meter Tariff Mode" is set to "Progressive tariffing").

Test and Set Live

Date: Enter the date to make this tariff live.
Test Tariff: Click to test the newly configured tariff.

Note: If you are not happy with the final results, you can fine-tune the tariff by going back to the previous steps.
