You can now initiate a Pay By Link for passengers via Driver Companion.
This is useful when a passenger requests to pay by card and will allow you to send a payment link from Driver Companion via SMS to the passenger.
Note: This feature may or may not be enabled by your company.
To use this feature:
- Select the card payment option while on the Fare screen.
- Then swipe to Complete the booking.
The passenger will now be sent a Pay By Link via SMS.
By following the link the passenger can then enter their card details to complete the payment, and if successful, the driver will be informed and the vehicle cleared.
If the passenger declines to pay, the payment fails, or the driver cancels the payment, the booking will be reverted to a cash booking and the driver will be informed.
Note: A passenger can also scan the on-screen QR code if the SMS was not received.
