The Booking screen is the first page you when loading E-Booker. This is also where users can place a booking, sign up, and log in to their passenger account.
Users have the option to either sign up and create a new account or log in using an existing account. However, it is not required to have an account to make a booking.
To access the sign-up and log-in options, see the navigation bar located in the top-right corner of the screen. From there, you can also change the language or view the terms and conditions of using EBooker.
Signing Up
New users of the system can create a new account to save time when making future bookings.
To sign up:
- Click on the Sign Up button in the top-right-hand corner of E-Booker.
- Fill in the sign up form with your details. This includes information such as name, phone number and email address.
- Then click on the Send Validation Code button. This sends a code to the provided email address.
- Upon receiving the code, enter it in the Validation Field at the bottom of the form.
Logging In
Existing users of the system can log in using the button in the top-right corner of the screen.
If you’ve already signed up:
- Click on the Log In button in the top-right-hand corner.
- Enter your login details into the form.
- Then click on the Log In button.
Note: If you’ve forgotten your password, click on "Forgot Password", and if you haven’t got an account, click on "I don’t have an account".
How to place a booking
To place a booking:
- Enter your pickup location into the Where from? field.
Note: You can type a postcode, area or street name to filter down the address results.
- You can also physically select the location on the map. To do so:
- Click on the 'Set location on map' text.
- Navigate to the location on the map:
- You can move about the map by left-clicking the map, holding down the left-click button and moving your mouse. You can also use the left, right, up and down arrow keys to move about.
- To zoom in and out, use the mouse scroll or the zoom-in and out buttons located in the top-right corner of the map.
- Click and hold your left and right mouse keys simultaneously and move your mouse to rotate the map on an X and Y-axis.
- Once found your pickup, right-click on the map and an address field will populate with your chosen address. From here you can correct any mistakes in the address by using the edit () icon.
- Press Confirm to continue and add the address, or Cancel to remove the address.
- Next, enter your destination into the Where to? field or use Set location on map.
- After this, you can add extra stops by selecting Add Stop. You can also edit or remove the pickup, destination or any added stops using the Remove ( X ) button.
- To select a date for pickup, click on the date shown (e.g. 20/03/2024) to open a calendar. By default, the current date is selected. You can also choose to adjust the time of pickup to either Now or Future. If you select Future, a time will appear and you can click on it to open a clock and choose the desired time by selecting the numbers on the dial.
- Next, you can specify which payment method to use (depending on if you are logged in and your account has it set up): Cash, Card or Account.
- Cash: Available to any user (whether logged into an account or not). The journey is paid in cash to the driver.
- Card: You must be signed in and have added a card to your Profile. Upon selecting this option you are prompted to enter the CV2 number for the chosen card.
- Account: You must be signed in and have an account added to your Profile.
- Specify the number of passengers and bags for your booking by clicking on the Person and Luggage icons and selecting the appropriate number from the dropdown lists.
- To choose a type vehicle click on the Any car option. A dropdown list appears, showing you the different types of vehicles available in the fleet. Here you can see the number of passengers and luggage the vehicle can accommodate and an estimated pickup time and cost. Hover over a car type and use the More Details () icon to read further information about that specific vehicle including an estimated time of arrival at your destination. Select a car by single-clicking on a vehicle type or choose Any Car to be given a suitable vehicle.
Note: If the number of passengers and/or bags exceeds your chosen car's limit, you will be asked to confirm this choice upon booking and accept the condition that continuing with the booking may result in getting a vehicle that does not fit your requirements.
- Before proceeding with the booking, there is an optional text field under Note to driver to add any specific requirements you may need to alert the driver about.
- To complete the booking, select the Book button at the bottom the the table.
At any point in the booking creation, you can utilise the Reset () button located in the top-left corner of the form to start again, clearing all data from the booking fields.
When you have placed a booking, a screen appears highlighting the details of your booking. Here you can book a return journey using the Book a Return Journey button or make an identical booking using the Multiply Booking button.
Using Booking Templates
Saving a booking as a template is incredibly useful for saving time with regular bookings.
To save your booking as a template:
- Click on the Save as Template button under the Quick Book section of the booking panel.
- Give the template a Name and then click Confirm.
- The template is now saved under Quick Book > Personal Templates.
Note: You can view the template details by clicking on the Information ( i ) icon.
At any point, you can load a template. To load a template, click on it from the Personal Templates list.
Language Options
At any point, you can change the language of EBooker by clicking the Flag Icon.
