The Work screen is where you can configure Driver Companion’s settings for how drivers can start, finish or go on break during their shift.
To access this screen:
- Click on Work from the Drivers/Vehicles > Driver Companion > Global Settings dropdown menu.
Work Settings
The following settings can be configured:
Start Work
- Start Mode: Select the driver to start mode.
- Driver: Allows drivers to start themselves on the system for work.
- Manual: Allows only operators to start drivers for work.
- Start Mode Input: Select the start mode input.
- None: No input is required for drivers to start working.
- PIN: The driver must enter their unique PIN to start working.
- PIN with Mileage: The driver must enter their unique PIN and mileage to start working.
- Vehicle or PIN: The driver must enter their Vehicle Registration or unique PIN to start working.
- Vehicle or PIN with Mileage: The driver must enter their Vehicle Registration or unique PIN with Mileage to start working.
- Validate Vehicle Mileage: If enabled, the system will validate the entered mileage and the recorded mileage. If they don’t match the driver will need to re-enter the correct mileage.
- PIN Length: Set how long a driver’s PIN should be.
Finish Work
- Finish Mode: Select the driver to finish mode.
- Driver: Allows drivers to finish themselves on the system for work.
- Manual: Allows only operators to finish drivers for work.
- Manual Finish Penalty Time: This allows you to set a penalty time if drivers try to finish when ‘Manual’ mode is set.
- Request Mileage On Finish: Enable if you want drivers to enter their mileage when logging off.
Automatic Finish On
- Driver Suspended: If a driver is suspended they will be automatically logged off.
- Driver Expired: If a driver’s finish date has expired they will be automatically logged off.
- Vehicle Expired: If a vehicle’s document dates have expired it will be automatically logged off.
- Vehicle Suspended: If a vehicle is suspended it will be automatically logged off.
Breaks
- Short Break Time: Set the time limit for a Short Break.
- Long Break Time: Set the time limit for a Long Break.
- Repeat Break Time Limit: Set a time limit between repeated breaks.
Suspend On Balance
- Suspend Balance Threshold: If a driver’s balance falls below the set threshold, then they will be automatically suspended.
- Suspend Threshold On Balance: Select which balance type a driver should be suspended based on.
- Previous Balance: The driver’s previous balance.
- Current Balance: The driver’s current balance.
- Outstanding Amount: The driver’s total outstanding balance.
Other
- Rolling Shift Options: Enable to show additional settings for Shift Patterns.
- Working Hours Limits: Enable to show additional settings for Shift Patterns.
