The Custom Addresses screen allows you to add, modify, or hide custom addresses on your system that may be well known or missing in the existing address database.
This may be used to identify a common place which is named differently in the database or to add a new street that has not yet been added in it. It can also be used to create locations with higher priorities or to identify multiple blocks/buildings within the same address.
To access this screen:
- Click on Custom Addresses from the Booking dropdown menu.
Add a custom address
To add a custom address:
- Click on the Add button on the right-hand side.
- Enter any required address details (marked with an asterisk *):
Add As: Select either Well Known or Additional Street for the record type.
Address Search: Search for an existing address and select it to populate the address fields.
Zone: Set which zone the address is within.
Search Type: Enter a unique letter to identify the address (e.g. C - Close, S - Street).
Sort Priority: A higher sort priority will ensure the address is shown higher in the search results list.
Applies To: Toggle if the address can be used for a booking's Pickup, Via, and or Destination.
Priority: If a booking is made using this address, the priority set here will be automatically assigned.
Note: Add an optional note to be shown when entering this address on a booking. - Then click Create.
Note: To pinpoint an address's exact location you can click on the map to drop a pin.
