Understanding the Payments Screen - 365 Management

The Payments screen is split into four tabs containing different payment settings.

To access this screen:

  1. Click on Payments from the Pricing and Payments dropdown menu.

The following settings can be configured:

Chip & Pin

The Chip & Pin tab allows you to control the surcharges & charging bands for your in-car card payments. It is also the place to come if you need to link your system with a Paypal Here account so drivers can take Paypal payments in their vehicles.

  • Enable Chip And Pin: Toggle to enable to disable chip and pin payments on your system. 
  • Surcharge Increment: Set how much to increment the surcharge by for chip and pin jobs.
  • Surcharge Minimum: Set to the minimum value a surcharge can be for chip and pin jobs. 
  • Surcharge Maximum: Set to the maximum value a surcharge can be for chip and pin jobs. 
  • Driver Bonus Increment: Set how much to increment the driver bonuses by for chip and pin jobs.
  • Driver Bonus Minimum: Set to the minimum value a driver bonus can be for chip and pin jobs. 
  • Driver Bonus Maximum: Set to the maximum value a driver bonus can be for chip and pin jobs. 
  • Charging Bands: Click to view and add custom charging bands.
  • Parameters: Click to view and add the chip and pin device parameters.
  • Overall Minimum: Set to the overall minimum value a booking can be for chip and pin jobs. 
  • Overall Maximum: Set to the overall maximum value a booking can be for chip and pin jobs. 
  • Floor Limit: The floor limit refers to the maximum amount that a merchant can process a transaction without seeking authorisation from the Card Issuer. Setting this to 0 means that all contactless transactions will require authorisation.
  • Test Pin: Enter a unique PIN for testing your chip and pin devices.
  • Prohibit Transactions While Clear: Enable to prohibit transactions being made from a chip and pin while the driver is 'Clear'.
  • Floor Limit Warning: Enable to display a warning when nearing the Floor Limit. 
  • Allow All MDTs: Enable to allow every MDT to use chip and pin. 
  • Allow Driver Payments: Enable to allow drivers to make their payments through chip and pin. 
  • Driver Payment Surcharge Minimum: Set the minimum surcharge value for driver payments. 
  • Driver Payment Surcharge Maximum: Set the maximum surcharge value for driver payments. 
  • Driver Payment Charging Bands: Click to configure custom charging bands for driver payments. 

Scan Coin

The Scan Coin tab is where you can configure your Scancoin machine to allow drivers to pay outstanding balances such as rents and insurance when at the office. payments_scan_coin.png

  • Enable Scan Coin: Toggle to enable or disable scan coin settings.
  • Port: Enter the port the scan coin machine uses for communication. 
  • Username: Set this to your Customer ID.
  • Enable SSL: Always have this enabled for a secure connection between the machine and the system.
  • Require Authentication: Always have this enabled to prevent unauthorised payments from being made. 

Credit Card

The Credit Card tab is where you can configure the settings for controlling in-office credit card payments that your operators can trigger by using the Alt + C keys while making a booking.

  • Enable Payment: Enable to allow operators to take credit card payments over the phone. 
  • Providers: Select which payment provider you are using for credit card payments.
  • Settings: Additional settings depending on the payment provider used.
    • Extra Parameters: Enter any required parameters for your payment provider. 
  • Enable Modes:
    • Entered By Operator: Enable to allow an operator to enter the chargeable amount for a credit card payment. 
    • Swiped From Vehicle: Enable this if you require drivers to swipe the customer's credit card on the in-car device before a payment can be accepted. 
  • Email Receipts:
    • Transaction Receipts: Enable to provide customers with a transaction receipt for over-the-phone credit card payments.
    • Booking Receipts: Enable to provide customers with a booking receipt for over-the-phone credit card payments.
  • Show Authorise Option: Enable to show the authorise option to operators when pressing F10.
  • Default Payment Method: Select which payment should be defaulted to when pressing F10.
  • AVS Required: Enable if you require AVS checks on your credit card payments. 
  • AVS Input Mode: Select which mode the AVS check should use. 
  • CV2 Required: Enable if you require CV2 checks on your credit card payments. 
  • Pay By Link Mode: Select which pay-by-link mode should be used. 

ePayout

The ePayout tab allows you to configure your ePayout settings.

  • General:
    • Enable ePayout: Toggle to enable or disable ePayout payments on your system. 
    • Enabled For Kickback Accounts: Toggle to enable or disable ePayout payments for Kickback Accounts. 
  • Provider:
    • Provider: Select which provider you use for ePayout payments.
    • Settings: Additional settings depending on the payment provider used.
      • Extra Parameters: Enter any required parameters for your ePayout provider. 
    • Provider Fee Percentage: Set the fee percentage the ePayout provider will take for each transaction.
    • Immediate ePayout Payment: Enable to immediately authorise ePayout payments. 

To access any advanced settings:

  1. Click on the Advanced Mode button.

The greyed out setting can then be accessed.

Note: The advanced settings are [ Engineer Only ] and should only be changed by a qualified Autocab engineer.
