The Dispatch screen contains various settings for controlling how the driver and vehicle accounts work on your system.
To access this screen:
- Click on the Dispatch button from Management > Settings > Configuration.
The following settings can be configured:
Dispatch
- Bidding Mode: Select which mode the system will use for allowing bidding on dispatched bookings.
- Booking Bid Expiry Time: Set how long the system will wait before a driver's bid on a booking expires.
- Vehicle Bid Expiry Time: Set how long the system will wait before a vehicle's bid on a booking expires.
- Enable Bidding List: Enable to provide drivers with a list of bookings they've bid on.
- Bidding List Fields: Select which fields should be displayed on the bidding list to drivers.
- Bidding List Max Bookings: Set the maximum number of bookings to show on the bidding list.
- Maximum Bidding Distance: Set the maximum distance a driver can be from a job before they cannot bid on it.
- Enable Dispatch To NAK Zone: Enable to allow bookings to be dispatched to vehicles in the NAK zone.
- Overbooking protection applies to ASAP booking: Enable if overbooking protection should apply to ASAP bookings.
- Account Bookings Priority: Set the priority level for account bookings (E.g. 0-9).
- Advanced Booking Priority: Set the priority level for advanced bookings (E.g. 0-9).
- IVR Bookings Priority: Set the priority level for IVR bookings (E.g. 0-9).
- Mobile App Bookings Priority: Set the priority level for mobile app bookings (E.g. 0-9).
- Short Break Time: Set the time limit for a Short Break.
- Long Break Time: Set the time limit for a Long Break.
- Repeat Break Time Limit: Set a time limit between repeated breaks.
- Allow Clear With No GPS: If enabled, drivers can clear from a job without a GPS signal.
- Limit Work Time: Set how long a driver can be in the 'Limit Work' status when using the limit work command.
- Dispatch Booking Penalty Time: Set how long after receiving a booking, a driver must wait before they can accept another.
- Reject Mode:
- Hold Bookings: When a booking is rejected, it is ‘Held’ on the Booking screen.
- Deny Vehicle: When a booking is rejected, the ‘rejected vehicles’ field on the booking will be populated with the callsign that rejected the booking.
- Move To Reject Zone: When a booking is rejected, the vehicle will be moved to the reject zone.
- Remove Requested Vehicle: If a requested vehicle rejects a booking, it will be removed from the booking request.
- Booking Reject Limit: Set how many times a booking can be rejected.
- Always Use Reject Penalty:
- Account Booking: If enabled, drivers or vehicles that reject account bookings will always receive a penalty.
- Requested Driver Or Vehicle: If enabled, requested drivers or vehicles that reject a booking will always receive a penalty.
- Reject Penalty Times: This allows you to configure rejection penalty times for when bookings are rejected multiple times.
- Account Booking: Set the penalty time for rejecting account bookings.
- Cash Booking: Set the penalty time for rejecting cash bookings.
- App Booking: Set the penalty time for rejecting app bookings.
- Incremental Penalty Times: This allows you to configure incremental penalty times for when bookings are rejected multiple times.
- Account: Set multiple increasing penalty times for rejecting account bookings.
- Cash: Set multiple increasing penalty times for rejecting cash bookings.
- App: Set multiple increasing penalty times for rejecting app bookings.
- Incremental Penalty Times: This allows you to configure incremental penalty times for when bookings are rejected multiple times.
- Recover Mode:
- Hold Bookings: When a booking is recovered, it is ‘Held’ on the Dispatch screen.
- Deny Vehicle: When a booking is recovered, the ‘recovered vehicles’ field on the booking will be populated with the callsign that recovered the booking.
- Operator Only: Enable to only allow operators to recover jobs from drivers.
- Remove Requested Vehicle: If a requested vehicle recovers a booking, it will be removed from the booking request.
- Move To Reject Zone: When a booking is recovered, the vehicle will be moved to the reject zone.
- Recover Penalty Times: Drivers will not receive jobs while they have an active penalty.
- Account Booking: Set the penalty time for recovering account bookings.
- Cash Booking: Set the penalty time for recovering cash bookings.
- App Booking: Set the penalty time for recovering app bookings.
- Incremental Penalty Times: This allows you to configure incremental penalty times for when bookings are recovered multiple times.
- Account: Set multiple increasing penalty times for recovering account bookings.
- Cash: Set multiple increasing penalty times for recovering cash bookings.
- App: Set multiple increasing penalty times for recovering app bookings.
- Incremental Penalty Times: This allows you to configure incremental penalty times for when bookings are recovered multiple times.
- No Fare Modes:
- Any Zone: Vehicles will keep their queue position as they move through each zone.
- Original Queue Position: Vehicles will keep their original queue position after using the no-fare command.
- No Fare Operator Only: Set if operators are the only ones allowed to issue a no-fare for bookings.
- No Fare Penalty Time: Set how long of a penalty a vehicle will have if they no-fare a booking.
- No Fare Minimum Time from Arrival (Account): Set how long a vehicle must wait after arrival before they can use the no-fare command on account jobs.
- No Fare Minimum Time from Arrival (Cash): Set how long a vehicle must wait after arrival before they can use the no-fare command on cash jobs.
- No Fare Minimum Time from Pickup Due (Account): Set how long a vehicle must wait from the pickup due time before they can use the no-fare command on account jobs.
- No Fare Minimum Time from Pickup Due (Cash): Set how long a vehicle must wait from the pickup due time before they can use the no-fare command on cash jobs.
- NAK Mode:
- Hold Bookings: Enable to 'Hold' bookings on the active screen that have been NAK'd.
- Dispatch Booking Penalty Time: Set how long after receiving a booking, a driver must wait before they can accept another.
- Cancel Dispatch Booking Penalty Time: Set how long a driver must wait if they have cancelled a booking.
- Soon To Clear Time: Set how long a driver can remain in the 'Soon to Clear' status.
- Disable Start on Vehicle Expiry: Check to disable vehicle start if certain vehicle documents have expired.
- Disable Start on Driver Expiry: Check to disable driver start if certain driver documents have expired.
- Badge Expiry Warning in Days: Enter the number of days before a driver is warned about their badge expiring.
- Driver Insurance Expiry Warning in Days: Enter the number of days before a driver is warned about their driver insurance expiring.
- Vehicle Insurance Expiry Warning in Days: Enter the number of days before a driver is warned about their vehicle insurance expiring.
- Road Tax Expiry Warning in Days: Enter the number of days before a driver is warned about their road tax expiring.
- MOT Expiry Warning in Days: Enter the number of days before a driver is warned about their MOT expiring.
- CPC Card Expiry Warning in Days: Enter the number of days before a driver is warned about their CPC Card expiring.
- DBS Certificate Expiry Warning in Days: Enter the number of days before a driver is warned about their DBS Certificate expiring.
- Digital Tachograph Card Expiry Warning in Days: Enter the number of days before a driver is warned about their Digital Tachograph Card expiring.
- Driver License Expiry Warning in Days: Enter the number of days before a driver is warned about their Driver's License expiring.
- Medical Card Expiry Warning in Days: Enter the number of days before a driver is warned about their Medical Card expiring.
- Callback Mode: Select which booking typer callback is enabled on.
- Manual Finish Penalty Time: This allows you to set a penalty time if drivers try to finish when ‘Manual’ mode is set.
- Zone Enquiry Modes: Set if zone enquiry is enabled for Active and Advance bookings.
- Zone Enquiry Fields: Set which booking fields should be shown when using the Enquiry command.
- Zone Enquiry Advanced Booking Minutes: Only advanced bookings within the set time will be shown when using the Enquiry command.
- Zone Enquiry Max Bookings: Set the maximum number of bookings that will be shown when using the Enquiry command.
- Shortest Waiting Backup Zone Priced Threshold: Any 'Shortest Waiting' backup zones will be changed to 'Longest Waiting' if they exceed this price.
- Default Split Booking Mode: Select which vehicle type should be used when splitting a booking.
- Enable Bidding for Prebooking: Toggle to enable or disable bidding for pre-bookings.
- Enable Prebooking Notification: Toggle if pre-booking notifications are off, only shown when a driver is 'Clear', or always shown.
- Add callsign to prebooking: Select if pre-bookings should display the vehicle callsign, driver callsign or both.
- Show Held Jobs for Prebooking: Enable to display 'Held' prebookings to drivers on Driver Companion.
- Prevent late prebookings - Enabled: Check to enable prevent late prebookings.
- Prevent late prebookings - Driver can override: This allows the driver to reject a booking without penalty if he has a prebooking coming up.
- Prevent late prebookings - Start: The time set here will perform checks and ensure a driver doesn’t start any jobs that will make them late for a prebooking.
- Estimated as-directed duration: This allows you to set an estimated completion time for ‘as directed bookings’ and send bookings out after this time.
