MDT Configuration Groups - Ghost

The MDT Configuration Groups screen is where you can configure groups of settings that can be applied to different drivers and vehicles.

This is useful for allowing each group of drivers to have access to different features and options.

To access this screen:

  1. Click on the MDT Configuration Groups button from Management > Settings > Configuration.

Add group

To add a new configuration group:

  1. Click on the New button at the top.

  2. Configure the configuration group settings.

  3. Then click OK.

The following settings can be configured:

Details

  • Name: The name that will identify the configuration group.

Dispatch

  • Allow Pick Up if Meter is Disconnected: Enable to allow drivers to swipe to ‘pick up’ if the external meter disconnects.
  • MDT reject bookings: Select if bookings will be rejected if the driver's Bluetooth PIA or card reader is not connected.
  • Recover Penalty Times: This allows you to configure incremental penalty times for when bookings are rejected multiple times.
    • Account: Set multiple increasing penalty times for rejecting account bookings.
    • Cash: Set multiple increasing penalty times for rejecting cash bookings.
    • App: Set multiple increasing penalty times for rejecting app bookings.
  • Reject Penalty Times: This allows you to configure rejection penalty times for when bookings are rejected multiple times.
    • Account Booking: Set the penalty time for rejecting account bookings.
    • Cash Booking: Set the penalty time for rejecting cash bookings.
    • App Booking: Set the penalty time for rejecting app bookings.
  • Destination Mode Daily Allowance: Set how many times a day a driver can use destination mode.
  • Destination Mode Max Bookings Per Session: Enable to limit how many bookings a driver can complete while in destination mode.
  • Destination Mode Priority: Enable to prioritise bookings for drivers in destination mode.
  • Destination Mode Limit to Driver Address: Enable to limit destination mode to only the driver’s address.
  • Prevent Late Prebookings - Enable: Toggle to enable or disable prevent late prebookings.
  • Prevent Late Prebookings - Driver Can Override: This allows the driver to reject a booking without penalty if he has a prebooking coming up.
  • Prevent Late Prebookings - Start: The time set here will perform checks and ensure a driver doesn’t start any jobs that will make them late for a prebooking.
  • Prevent Late Prebookings - Estimated as Directed Duration: This allows you to set an estimated completion time for ‘as directed bookings’ and send bookings out after this time.

Driver Companion

  • Announcements Button Text: This allows you to rename the ‘Announcements’ button.
  • Announcements URL: Add a custom URL for your company announcements.
  • Can Contact Office: Set when a driver is able to contact the office.
  • Custom Logo: Select a custom logo for the booking receipt (Which can also be added to the receipt template).
  • Enable Announcements: Select if the announcements button should be shown in the left-hand menu.
  • Fare Fields: Select which fields should be displayed on the fare screen.
  • Features: Select which features are available to drivers.
  • Map Type: Select which map type Driver Companion should display.
  • Receipt Template: Select a receipt template to be used when a driver prints the booking receipt. 
  • Report Date Range Limit (Days): Set how far back drivers can search on their reports.

Driver Companion Commands

  • Add Via: Enable to allow drivers of this group to add via’s to a booking from the side menu.
  • Bid: This allows drivers to bid for available bookings.
  • Booking Preview: Enable to allow drivers of this group to see upcoming bookings.
  • Change Destination: Enable to allow drivers of this group to change their destination while on a job.
  • Destination Mode: Enable to allow drivers of this group to use destination mode.
  • Emergency: Select where the emergency button should be shown.
  • Fare: Enable to allow drivers of this group to see the fare screen when completing a job.
  • Limit Work: Enable to allow drivers of this group to limit their jobs to the current zone they’re in.
  • No-Fare: Enable to allow drivers of this group to use the no-fare command.
  • Phone Customer: Enable to allow drivers of this group to use the phone customer command.
  • Phone Office: Enable to allow drivers of this group to use the phone office command.
  • Plot While Busy: Enable to allow drivers of this group to plot their zone while on a job.
  • Recover: Enable to allow drivers of this group to recover sent bookings.
  • Reject Any Booking: Enable to allow drivers of this group to reject any booking types.
  • Ringback: Enable to allow drivers of this group to use the ringback command.
  • Soon To Clear: Select where the soon to clear button should be shown.
  • Street Pickup: Select where the street pickup button should be shown.
  • Telephony Icon: Select when the telephone buttons should be shown.
  • Voice Request: Enable to allow drivers of this group to use the voice request command.
  • Yes/No: Enable to allow drivers of this group to use the yes or no commands.
  • Zone Vehicle Query: This allows drivers to query a zone to see which vehicles are in it.
