What's New
Automatic Follow on Booking
Our system now offers an Automatic Follow on Booking mode, which allows for the automatic dispatch of jobs to drivers who are Soon To Clear.
Allowing drivers to accept follow on bookings shortly before they complete a job will improve dispatch times and offer more driver availability. When a driver is soon to clear, it will show they are eligible for Follow on Bookings. Drivers can opt out of any current follow on bookings while on their current job.
To use this setting:
- Go to 365 Management > Dispatch > Dispatch Configuration > General Settings
- Click to change Follow on Booking mode to either Automatic or Manual and Automatic.
- You will be presented with a new modal window which will explain which each setting will change.
- Ensure Soon to Clear Mode is set to either Automatic or Manual and Automatic.
Note: The minimum version of Driver Companion Android is 2.20.8 or later.
Autobid
Drivers can now automatically bid on active jobs based on criteria they set for either Zones or Capabilities. This can allow more flexibility for driver's preferences while reducing the amount of active work.
A job with multiple Autobid’s from various drivers will be sent as a job offer to one driver only. The system will use the normal bidding rules to determine which driver receives the job out of all drivers who have autobid for it.
The new options are:
Radius: Drivers can amend the distance they wish to receive Autobid job offers based on Capabilities.
Zones: Drivers can select which zones they would like to receive Autobid job offers from.
Both: Drivers can set preferences to Autobid on both radius and zones.
To use this setting:
- Go to 365 Management > Drivers/Vehicles > Driver Companion > Global Settings > Acceptance
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page.
- Find Autobid section
- Set this to either Radius, Zones or Both.
- If Radius or Both is enabled, a maximum Autobid radius can be set in miles or kilometres. Leaving this off will set the distance to unlimited.
To apply the configuration to individual driver groups:
- Go to 365 Management > Drivers/Vehicles > Driver Companion > Settings Groups > Functionality Group
- Click on the Group to Edit
- Navigate to the "Features" Tab and apply individual settings for this group.
Note: The minimum version of Driver Companion Android is 2.20.8 or later.
Booking offer fields:
Users can now set separate optional booking fields for dispatch, job offer, bid for active and bid for prebooking jobs.
This can be accessed by going to:
365 Management > Global Settings > Interface - On Job - "Booking Offer Fields".
User Permissions: The Wall
We have added 3 new sections to user permissions:

The Wall:

Access: To allow or prevent access to the entire The Wall page.

The Wall > Message:
- Access: To allow or prevent access to the Messages tab.
- Edit: To allow or prevent the changing of any messages and access to the Save button.

The Wall > Scenarios:
- Access: To allow or prevent access to the Scenarios tab.
- Add: To allow or prevent the user from being able to create a new scenario.
- Edit: To allow or prevent the user from being able to edit a scenario.
Copy user customisations
You can now copy user customisations (field names and table layouts) from one user to another. This can be done from the Users screen by right-clicking on a user and selecting Copy Customisations from User.
Copied customisations include:

Field name changes in tables

Shown fields in all tables

Order of the column headers in tables

Size of the column headers in tables
Booking fields: Pickup Due Time (Late Prebooking)
You can now toggle ON/OFF the pickup due time booking field for late pre-bookings. Toggling this field OFF will hide the time from the job offer screen on Driver Companion and can help to reduce rejections for late jobs.
The new toggle can be found on the Interface screen within the Optional Booking Fields setting.
System Messages
Added new System messages for the following scenarios:

Job Cancelled with Fee – This is the message the driver will see when they receive payment for a cancellation paid by card.

Job No Fared with Fee – This is the message the driver will see when they receive payment for a no fared job paid by card.
Automatic No Fare on Ringback
Added a new setting called 'Interactive No Fare' which lets drivers hit No Fare while on a booking to trigger a call to the passenger if they are not at the pickup location.
Note: This setting can be found on the Acceptance screen and is dependent on the 'No Fare Operator Only' setting:

If ‘No Fare Operator Only’ is set to ‘Yes’ - The ‘Interactive No Fare’ toggle will be hidden.

If ‘No Fare Operator Only’ is set to ‘No' - The ‘Interactive No Fare’ toggle is shown.

If ‘No Fare Operator Only’ is set to ‘Account Only' - The ‘Interactive No Fare’ toggle is shown.

If ‘No Fare Operator Only’ is set to ‘Cash Only' - The ‘Interactive No Fare’ toggle is shown.
This setting is useful as No Fare bookings will no longer need to be cancelled if a passenger chooses not to keep the booking.
Note: The minimum required version of Phantom is 1.2 or later.
Alphanumeric Callsign Support
Added a new setting called ‘Enable Alphanumeric Callsigns‘, which if enabled, will allow operators to enter callsigns that contain both numbers and letters for vehicle commands. You can enable this setting in the User Interface screen.
To use the vehicle commands, a valid vehicle callsign must be entered, followed by the Enter key.
Controlling job recoveries using 'Special Booking Recipes'
Added a custom mode to the 'Operator Only' setting within Acceptance. If used you will now have a new 'Disallow Recovery For' setting where you can select a Special Booking Recipe so selected bookings can't be recovered by an operator.
Note: You can let drivers override this setting by enabling the 'Recover' setting within a Functionality Group.
Overbooking protection for ASAP bookings
Added a new setting so you can apply overbooking protection to ASAP bookings:
- Overbooking protection applies to ASAP booking: Enable if overbooking protection should apply to ASAP bookings.
This setting can be found on the Dispatch Configuration screen within the Dispatch tab.
Booking offer fields: Passenger reliability
Added a new booking offer field for 'Passenger Reliability'. A passenger's reliability rating will be shown on the booking offer for drivers to see if enabled.
This field can be found on the Interface screen within the Optional Booking Fields setting.
Translations and locale
The translations have been updated for all languages the system currently supports.
Added support for Albanian sq-AL translations.
Added support for Albanian (Kosovo) sq-XK translations.
Added support for Czech cz-CZ translations.
Added support for Finnish fi-FI translations.
Improvements
Help pages
We've updated our help page links so you'll see the latest content since our documentation moved to Autocab Help.
Note: The new help pages will open in a new tab when you click the (Hat) icon.
Translations and locale: Norwegian Bokmål
Added support for Norwegian Bokmål translations and locale.
Multi-country addresses
You can now show multiple country addresses when placing a booking. This is useful for companies that work in various countries.
To do this, go to Booking > Booking Configuration > Address Configuration, then select multiple countries in the new Countries setting.
Driver Contact
By default when adding a new driver the "Customer can call this driver" toggle is on by default.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed: Address search results are displayed in the wrong order after creating new zones.
- Fixed: National zones are not recognised when added to a new system.
- Fixed: The 'Unsaved Changes' message is not displayed when leaving the page after editing system messages.
- Fixed: Missing translation for fleet owner field.
- Fixed: The account booking tags table does not update when adding or deleting a booking tag until the user refreshes the page.
- Fixed: Issue with 'Mirror all entered amounts' not mirroring values correctly.
- Fixed: Issue with company filters in booking tags.
- Fixed: Issue with not being able to add call recording configuration.
- Fixed: Issues with filters in 'pricing and payments' not working as intended.
- Fixed: The system language did not work until the page was refreshed.
- Fixed: Issue with Rezone on the Fly when restoring a backup and user was navigated to draft mode.
