Bookings by Zone (BETA) - 365 Analytics

Bookings by Zone (BETA) - 365 Analytics

What Is This Section?

In this section, you can analyse a visual of your booking distribution across different zones.

AlertNote: This section is currently in active beta. You may encounter bugs and issues, and features may be subject to change.

Using the data, you can help identify which regions are generating the most activity and use location insights to drive targeted strategies.

Getting Started

On the 365 Portal, select the Analytics tile. Navigate to Bookings > Bookings by Zone. Two new tabs will then appear. Select Bookings by Zone (BETA).

How It Works

Your data is automatically imported and updated in Analytics, where you can explore it using built-in filters for a more targeted view. You also have the option to export your visualised data in Excel format, enabling deeper analysis and easier sharing with others.

Filter Button (- Click the Filter icon to open it. After adjusting the filter, click anywhere on the page to close the window.

You can filter your data by:

  • Company - Choose a company to filter your data (applicable in a multi-company system).
  • Zones to display: Select which zone(s) and their associated data appear in the table.
  • Metrics to display - Select which metrics to appear in the table to show the following data on a per-pickup zone basis.
  • Highlight threshold - Set how large a percentage change must be before increases and decreases are visually highlighted in green or red in the tables.

Focus Mode (- Hover over the different graphics and use this button to enlarge the report visual to see more detail.

You cannot filter your data whilst in focus mode; your existing filter will remain until changed. Your current filters remain active while you are in focus mode. To change your filters, click 'Back to report,' make your adjustments, and then return to focus mode.

Understanding the Data

This page shows booking performance by zone, metric, and month, helping you compare trends and changes over time.

What the table shows

The table is structured to help you quickly scan performance across multiple zones and time periods.

Zones

Each zone appears as a grouped section and is identified by its shortcode. Which zones are shown is controlled by the 'Zone' setting in the filter. By default, all zones are selected. You can add or remove zones at any time using the filter.

Metrics

Metrics describe the type of booking activity being measure, for example, Cancelled Trips, Completed Trips and Requested Trips. By default, these three metrics are selected, but you can add or remove any metrics using the filter.

If many metrics or zones are selected, you may need to scroll vertically to view all rows.

Monthly Data

Each column represents a calendar month within the selected data range. All values shown relate to activity that occurred during that month.

What each value represents

Each metric row contains three related values for the month:

  • Monthly Total - The singular number shows the total number of bookings for that zone, metric, and month. For example, in the 'Cancelled Trips' row, a value of 342 means 342 bookings were cancelled in that zone during that month.
  • Month-on-month (MoM) Change - The first comparison row shows the change compared to the previous month displaying both the numerical difference and the percentage change. This indicates how booking activity has changed since the last month.
  • Year-on-year (YoY) Change - The second comparison row shows the change compared to the same calendar month in the previous year, showing both the numerical difference and percentage change. This can help you identify seasonal or longer-term trends.

Understanding colours and thresholds

The background colour of each monthly total is determined by the Highlight Threshold setting. The text colour of the MoM and YoY values indicates whether the change is positive or negative.

The monthly total colour visually represents:

  • Green - an increase greater than the configured threshold.
  • Red - a decrease greater than the configured threshold.
  • Grey- the change is within the threshold.

The 'Highlight Threshold' value defines the minimum percentage change required for a value to be highlighted.

For example, if the threshold is set to '20', an increase of more than 20% compared to the previous month or year is shown in green. A decrease of more than 20% is shown in red. Changes within 20% are not highlighted. The higher value you set the minimum threshold results in only large fluctuations in data being highlighted.

Green zones can indicate improving or high-performing zones. Red highlights zones where booking activity has dropped and may require further analysis.

Exporting Data

To export your data:

  1. Hover over a visual to export.
  2. Click the Three Dots ( ... ) icon in the top-right corner.

NotesNote: Depending on the visual you are exporting will determine whether you can choose the type of format it is exported in.

Tables can be exported as 'Data with current layout' and 'Summarised data'.

Visualised data such as graphs can only be exported as 'Summarised data'.

If exporting as 'Summarised data', you can use the File Format dropdown to select whether to export as .xlsx or csv.
  3. Press the Export button.
  4. Your file will then begin downloading. Once downloaded, you can open your file from your file explorer.
