The Dual Queue Zones screen is where you can configure which zones will allow multiple queue positions for your drivers.
This is useful when drivers need to maintain two queue positions when they enter a zone within another zone.
To access this screen:
To set up dual queue zones, you need to designate one zone as the main zone and choose multiple other zones to serve as the sub-zones. If a driver enters a sub-zone, they will be able to queue in both the sub-zone and the main zone. Once in the main zone, drivers see on their driver companion device both zone names and a queue position for the main zone and sub-zone. The driver does not have to accept jobs from the additional zone, they can choose to reject or accept jobs from either queue.
For example, in an airport setting drivers can use Dual Queue Zones to maintain their position in the airport queue while simultaneously being available for pickup requests from nearby hotels or other locations, ensuring drivers can efficiently serve both airport passengers and those outside the airport premises.
It is important to note that Dual Queue Zones are designed for managing two queue positions, one in the main zone and one in an additional zone. The system does not support more than two queues to prevent operational complexity and potential issues.
There are two different modes you can switch to and from.
In Live mode, you can view the live configuration of your dual queue zones. Any changes you make while in this mode are automatically published to your live system.
In Draft mode, you can view and edit your dual queue zones configuration as a draft and then apply this draft to live.
Once in Draft mode, you can create a new draft of your current configuration.
Note: When you create a new draft, the current draft will be overridden and any changes made will apply to all zone areas. (e.g. Zone Maker, Zone List...)
Once you are happy with your current draft, you can select the Apply Draft to Live button, replacing your live dual queue zones configuration with the latest draft configuration.
To add a new dual queue zone:
You can edit any dual queue zone you have created by double-clicking on a dual queue zone within the table. This opens the editing modal where you can modify any settings of your group. Ensure to select Save once done followed by Apply Draft to Live to apply your changes.
To delete a dual queue zone:
