Driver Companion+ is currently in beta. You may encounter bugs, and features and behaviour may change as improvements and updates are made.

Log in to Driver Companion

Before you start your shift, you must log in to Driver Companion using your account details.


Log in for the first time

When you log in for the first time, you must complete the onboarding walkthrough. You must complete this process before you can go online and accept jobs. The onboarding process is required only once. After you complete it, you can change your preferences later in the Settings section.


Log in with email and password

After onboarding, you can log in using your email and password. Your taxi company provides a temporary password. You must change this password after your first login.

To log in with email and password:

  1. Open the login screen.
  2. Click 'Sign in with Email'.
  3. Enter your email and password.
  4. Click 'Sign in'.

Change your password when prompted.

After this, you can use your email and password to log in.

You can also enable biometric login for faster access.


Log in with an activation code

Notes
Note: Activation codes are only available on Android devices.

If multiple drivers use the same vehicle, you may need an activation code to log in.

After you enter the activation code, the device stays logged in until you log out.

To log in with an activation code:

  1. Enter the 6-digit activation code.
  2. Click 'Sign in'.


Use biometric login

Biometric login allows you to log in using your fingerprint or Face ID.

To enable biometric login:

  1. In the app, open the menu on the left.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Turn on 'Biometric login'.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I reset my password?
Tap the 'Forgot password?' text on the sign-in screen. You can then enter your email address to receive the reset password link.
How do I get an activation code?
Your taxi office/organisation will provide an activation code, if required.
Please contact your taxi office for help.
How do I reset my username?

You use your email address to log into Driver Companion, and this cannot be changed.

Please contact your taxi office/organisation for help with your account and the associated email address.

Why do my login attempts fail?

There may be several reasons your login attempts fail:

Email and Password

Make sure you are entering the correct email and password. Passwords are case sensitive so you must enter it exactly as it was created, including lowercase and uppercase letters.

If you have forgotten your password, you can use the 'Forgot password?' button to set a new one.

Biometric Login

If using a fingerprint, ensure your fingers are dry, your finger placement is correct, and the sensor is not dirty.

If using facial ID, make sure your eyes, nose and mouth are fully visible and your front-facing camera is clean and unobstructed.

 

If you continue experiencing issues during login, such as failed connections, you can submit a support request with your 'Terminal ID' number to receive help.
