After selecting a pickup location, passengers have the new option to select "I will tell the driver" as an alternative to inputting a destination address, allowing you to accept passengers who prefer to tell the driver their destination.

Users can also drag and drop a pin onto the map to refine the pickup address, which automatically populates with the pickup location. Through this, passengers can adjust their pickup location to be more accurate for instances where the address may be in the wrong area, such as the other side of a building etc.
To enable as directed:
- In AppSettings, go to Admin > Payment.
Note: You must be an admin in AppSettings to enable this setting. - Under "As Directed", toggle on the 'As Directed Passenger App' setting.
- If using Stripe (with the 'Deferred' payment method), select whether you want Cash and/or Card payments for As Directed bookings.
Note: When booking an As Directed journey with a card payment, a disclaimer appears to the driver stating that a payment authorisation is required. - If using another credit card provider, only Cash (and CAP/Non-Purse Accounts) are the only available payment method.
Alternate Vehicle Offer
Passengers will receive alternate vehicle offers if their selected vehicle type is unavailable, if enabled.
By offering a different vehicle type, this can help improve booking completion rates and reduce customer frustration.
Note: Alternate Vehicles only work on systems that use the 'Deferred' payment method.
To enable alternate vehicle offers:
- . In AppSettings, go to Passenger App > Booking.
- Locate the 'Alternate Vehicle Suggestion Enabled' setting (under the Charge Cancellation Fee Enabled setting).
- Toggle on the setting to enable.
- Use the 'Vehicle Search Delay (mins)' to specify how long the system searches for the preferred type of vehicle before suggesting an alternate option.
- Navigate to the Vehicle Specifications tab.
- Under each of your specifications, a new dropdown menu 'Alternate Vehicle(s)' will appear. Use this dropdown menu to select which alternate vehicles to offer for each of your vehicle types.
Hide Unavailable Vehicles
When the app returns the information in the vehicle selector, we have updated the UI so that unavailable vehicles are obscured until the relevant information loads in.
Info Icon for Vehicle Selector
For better clarity, we've added an Info ( i ) icon to the left of the vehicle icon in the selector, which reveals more details about the vehicle type.
Support for MobilePay
We've added support for MobilePay as a payment method via Stripe within the Passenger App.
Vehicle Order Animation
When a passenger selects a vehicle type from the vehicle selector, we've updated the animation so the transition is smoother when the vehicle list reorders.
No Rebook for Hail to App
We've removed the 'Rebook' functionality from Hail to App journeys to avoid issues in the app.
Reduce Radius for Map Address Selection
When a passenger drops a pin on the map to select an address, we've reduced the radius size so users can snap to nearby alternative addresses more easily.
Rename Credit Card to Payment Card
In the Wallet, the 'Credit Card' text has been changed to 'Payment Card' to avoid confusion and imply all card types can be registered.
Translations
We have updated the translations available throughout the app to ensure all text has the correct translations available.
Bulgarian Prices (EUR + BGN)
With Bulgaria joining the Euro area, Passenger App has been updated so passengers in Bulgaria see dual prices on the booking screen, showing the journey in Euros (EUR) and Lev (BGN). Other areas of the app such as job history, booking confirmation screen, also display the price in the two currencies.
