To add a new functionality group:

1. Click on the Add button on the right-hand side. 
   
2. Enter any required details (marked with an asterisk *) within each tab.
   
3. Then click Create.

General

• Name: The name that will identify the functionality group.
• Receipt Template: Select a receipt template to be used when a driver prints the booking receipt. 
• Custom Logo: Select a custom logo for the booking receipt. Can also be added to the receipt template. 
• Custom Logo Preview: Displays the custom logo.
• Map Type: Select which map type Driver Companion should display.
• Report Date Range Limit (Days): Set how far back drivers can search on their reports.
• Can Contact Office: Set when a driver is able to contact the office.
• Allow Pick Up if External Meter is Disconnected: Enable to allow drivers to swipe to ‘pick up’ if the external meter disconnects.

Features

• General: Toggle to enable other general features in Driver Companion.
  • Driver Referral: This allows a driver to refer other people to become drivers.
  • View Zones When Busy: This allows drivers to view the zone screen while on a job.
  • Meet & Greet: This allows drivers to display a meet and greet sign via Driver Companion, which includes the customer's name. 
  • Bid: This allows drivers to bid for available bookings.
  • Zone Vehicle Query: This allows drivers to query a zone to see which vehicles are in it.
  • Switch Meter On Reminder: Enable to send a reminder to drivers to switch on their meter before working. 
  • Active Booking Bidding Mode: Select which mode active booking should use.
    • Off: Select to turn active booking bidding off for the group. 
    • Use Default: Select if the group should use the default settings from the Dispatch Configuration. 
    • Custom
      • Job Selection Recipe: Select a Special Booking recipe to use instead of the default. 
  • Prebooking Bidding Mode: Select which mode prebooking should use.
  • Recover: Enable to allow a driver to recover a booking from their device.
  • Operator Only:
    • Off: Drivers can recover a booking without operator intervention.
    • On (All bookings): Enable to require operator intervention when a driver tries to recover a booking.
    • Custom: Any bookings that match the recipe in Disallow Recovery For require operator intervention.   
      • Disallow Recovery For: Select a recipe from the dropdown list.
• Fare Screen: Toggle additional fields for the fare screen.
  • Docket Number: Enable to display the docket number.
  • Extras: Enable to display the extras field.
  • Gratuity: Enable to display the gratuity field.
• Autobid: Allows drivers to set radiuses for capabilities and favourite zones for which they want their Driver Companion to automatically bid on jobs.
  • Autobid Mode: Controls whether drivers can access Autobid radius settings, zone settings, both or neither from their Driver Companion.
  • Max. Autobid Radius: Input a maximum number that a driver can set in their Autobid radius settings.

Interface

• Side Menu Commands: Toggle to enable certain side menu commands.
  • Booking Preview: Enable to allow drivers of this group to see upcoming bookings.
  • Plot While Busy: Enable to allow drivers of this group to plot their zone while on a job.
  • Change Destination: Enable to allow drivers of this group to change their destination while on a job.
  • Fare: Enable to allow drivers of this group to see the fare screen when completing a job.
  • Reject Any Booking: Enable to allow drivers of this group to reject any booking types.
  • Limit Work: Enable to allow drivers of this group to limit their jobs to the current zone they’re in.
  • Ringback: Enable to allow drivers of this group to use the ringback command.
  • No-Fare: Enable to allow drivers of this group to use the no-fare command.
  • Voice Request: Enable to allow drivers of this group to use the voice request command.
  • Phone Customer: Enable to allow drivers of this group to use the phone customer command.
  • Yes/No: Enable to allow drivers of this group to use the yes or no commands.
  • Phone Office: Enable to allow drivers of this group to use the phone office command.
  • Add Via: Enable to allow drivers of this group to add via’s to a booking from the side menu.
• Top Bar Shortcuts: Select additional top bar menu options. 
  • Emergency: Select where the emergency button should be shown.
  • Soon To Clear: Select where the soon to clear button should be shown.
  • Street Pickup: Select where the street pickup button should be shown.
  • Telephony Icon: Select when the telephone buttons should be shown.
• Announcements: Select additional announcement options.
  • Enable Announcements: Select if the announcements button should be shown in the left-hand menu.

Acceptance

• Reject Penalty Times: This allows you to configure rejection penalty times for when bookings are rejected multiple times.
  • Account Booking: Set the penalty time for rejecting account bookings.
  • Cash Booking: Set the penalty time for rejecting cash bookings.
  • App Booking: Set the penalty time for rejecting app bookings.
• Recover Penalty Times: This allows you to configure incremental penalty times for when bookings are rejected multiple times.
  • Account: Set multiple increasing penalty times for rejecting account bookings.
  • Cash: Set multiple increasing penalty times for rejecting cash bookings.
  • App: Set multiple increasing penalty times for rejecting app bookings.
• Enable Extend Job Offer: Enable to allow drivers of this group to use the extend job offer command.
• Recover Prebook Penalty: Configure penalties for removing prebookings.
  • Enable Penalty for Recovering Prebooking: Toggle to enable a penalty for recovering prebookings.
    • Banned from Prebook Bidding: Set how long a driver is banned from bidding on prebooking if they have recovered a prebooking.
    • Penalty Policy Disclaimer: Write a custom penalty policy to warn drivers trying to recover a prebooking.
• Prevent Late Prebookings:
  • Enabled: Toggle to enable or disable prevent late prebookings.
  • Driver Can Override: This allows the driver to reject a booking without penalty if he has a prebooking coming up.
  • Estimated as Directed Time: This allows you to set an estimated completion time for ‘as directed bookings’ and send bookings out after this time.
  • Prevent Late Bookings Start: The time set here will perform checks and ensure a driver doesn’t start any jobs that will make them late for a prebooking.
• Auto-Reject Jobs: Configure job auto-rejection criteria.
  • If PIA Not Connected: If enabled, jobs will be auto-rejected if a Bluetooth PIA device isn’t connected.
  • If Card Reader Not Connected: If enabled, jobs will be auto-rejected if a card reader isn’t connected.
• Destination Mode: Configure destination mode for drivers of this group.
  • Enabled: Toggle to enable destination mode.
  • Daily Allowance: Set how many times a day a driver can use destination mode.
  • Limit to Driver Address: Enable to limit destination mode to only the driver’s address.
  • Max Bookings Per Session: Enable to limit how many bookings a driver can complete while in destination mode.
  • Priority: Enable to prioritise bookings for drivers in destination mode.
