Taking pay by link payments - DC+ (Beta)

After completing a journey, to take a pay by link payment from a passenger:
  1. After tapping or swiping 'Drop Off', you are taken to the 'Adjust fare' screen.
  2. Here you can:
    1. Add a promo/loyalty card.
    2. Add any extras e.g. gratuity.



      NotesNote: Depending on the job and your taxi company's system, you may not always be able to add extras and/or promo and loyalty cards.

  3. Swipe or press 'Confirm' to continue.
  4. On the 'Final fare' screen can see the final total here including information such as journey distance and waiting time in minutes.
    InfoUse the Edit () icon to return to the 'Adjust fare' screen to make any final adjustments.

  5. Tap 'Link' as payment.



  6. Tap or swipe 'Continue with link'.
  7. The passenger should then receive an SMS text message containing the link. They can also scan the QR code that appears on your Driver Companion+.

    InfoYou can generate a new link after 1 minute by tapping the 'Resend link' button.

  8. Once a successful payment has been made, the job automatically clears.
If the passenger cancels the pay by link, or it fails to take payment, the app goes back to the 'Final fare' screen where a different payment method can be selected.
