Understanding the home screen - DC+ (Beta)

Info
Driver Companion+ is currently in beta. You may encounter bugs, and features and behaviour may change as improvements and updates are made.
The home screen is where you manage your shift. You can view zones and available jobs, open menus and shortcuts, and use actions.

Zones View (Default screen)

When you open the app, the home screen shows the Zones view.

The zones view shows:
  1. A list of nearby zones.
  2. The distance of that zone from your current location.
  3. The number of jobs available in each zone.

Zone Information

Each row shows a zone name and job counters showing jobs available now, in 15 minutes and 30 minutes. These counters automatically update as jobs become available. If all values show 0, there may currently be no jobs available in that zone.
Notes
Note: Depending on your taxi company's setup, the time frames and number of columns may vary between device.

Driver Status & Dashboard

At the bottom of the screen, the dashboard shows your current driver status (online, offline, on a break, etc.).

You can swipe up on the dashboard to see statistics such as your daily totals of earnings and completed jobs, giving you a quick summary of your day.

Map View

The map view shows your current location on a heat map. Busy areas are highlighted, helping you find more jobs.

Use the following controls to adjust your map:
  1. Grid icon – Turn zone boundaries on or off.
  2. Zone actions – Tap a zone to view information such as distance, number of jobs, and number of cars. You can also take actions such as enquire or bid for a job.
  3. Compass – Reset the map to the default view (facing north).
  4. Target icon – Re-centre the map on your current location.
NotesNote: Depending on your taxi company's setup, you may not have access to the map view.
For more information, see our Busy Map article.

Bid View

The bid view shows individual jobs you can bid on.

Each job card shows:
  1. Pickup location
  2. Drop-off location
  3. Payment type (e.g. Cash)
  4. Estimate value of the job.
If there are no available jobs to bid on, the screen displays a message alerting you of this.
